The Australian circus ensemble known as Circa combines artistry and athleticism, as the seven performers by turns hurl themselves at, or balance precariously from eachother. The act has its own category in the Spoleto program: Contemporary Circus. And Bob Telson, composer for the show The Gospel at Colonus, tells the story of how he came to be involved in a re-telling of Sophocles' Oedipus at Colonus, set in an African-American church, and featuring the Blind Boys of Alabama.
